Foxes are fodder — scripted, dumb, disposable. Every wolf has a live AI brain running through the Bonito gateway. About every few seconds a wolf sends the game state (per-lane defense scores, its own health, where you're standing and how hurt you are) to its model and acts on the answer: press on, hop to a weaker lane, hunt you down, or howl to speed the pack.
An alpha model re-reads your defenses at every wave and aims fresh spawns at your weakest lanes. Speech bubbles tagged AGENT are genuine model output — including the trash talk. The one-eyed rooster's end-of-night one-liners come from the same place.
If the gateway can't be reached, wolves fall back to local heuristics — watch the badge in the bottom corner: WOLVES: LIVE vs LOCAL.
